Bosnia’s calm, cold weather can act like a shield to you. Maybe it was about the winter session of the country, but as a Middle Eastern, I was shocked by the quietness of the country by any means. Long and untouched rivers passing through the cities are something rare for me, even though I have seen it many times in different cities in different countries, I’m always amazed by this cooperation between the creator and humans. Maybe all of this calmness in the country was just the burden of their history that every citizen remembers in every corner of the streets, where many martyrs from both political sides’ photos hang on the walls, and many graveyards are waiting at every end of the path. Most of those who passed away were at a young age, so the population’s hope for the future is disturbed in a way that I couldn’t completely understand because of the short visit I made.
